FAQ: Questions about the Unicity Feel Great System Balance and Unimate

We have put together a list of the most frequently asked questions from Unicity Feel Great beginners. Regardless of whether you are just trying out the Feel Great System or have been participating for a while, this information is sure to be helpful for you!

Before you try something new, there are of course many questions that arise.

How long does it take to see results with Unicity Feel Great System?

The best results are usually seen after 90 days, but many achieve success earlier. How long it takes to see or feel positive results varies from person to person. In addition, it can take up to a month for the body to adjust to a dietary change such as intermittent fasting. The more consistently you follow the Feel Great program, the more likely you are to see positive results soon. Keeping a consistent schedule (regular meal times, bedtimes, etc.) also allows your body to adapt better and faster to these changes.

Should I follow a nutrition plan?

There is no Feel Great nutrition plan. The beauty of Feel Great is that it can be adapted to different dietary habits and lifestyles. Regardless of your goals, you should choose a balanced diet with as many whole foods as possible. You should also make sure that you prefer protein, limit carbohydrates and use fat as an energy source. You can have a nutritionist create a nutrition plan tailored to your individual needs.

Can I just take the products without fasting?

The Feel Great program is designed to improve overall health and make intermittent fasting easier. Intermittent fasting has been proven to have many benefits for healthy weight management, insulin sensitivity, glucose and lipid levels, blood pressure and general well-being. The less you adhere to healthy eating habits, the less likely you are to reap these benefits.

If you have never tried intermittent fasting before, start with 12 hours of fasting (dinner at 8 p.m. means breakfast at 8 a.m. the next day). Then increase to an even more effective 16 hours. Don't forget that Unimate can be used to jump-start your morning and extend your fasting period. Give your body at least a month to get used to the changed eating habits.

Can I take medication and other nutritional supplements at Feel Great? When is the best time to take them?

Yes, at Feel Great you can take your medication as usual. Please note, however, that Balance may interfere with the absorption of some medications due to its viscous consistency. We therefore recommend taking medication at least one hour before or after taking Balance. Talk to your doctor before taking Balance or Unimate with your prescribed medications. Do not stop taking any prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor.

You can take other nutritional supplements in combination with Feel Great products. (Please note that combining Balance and Unimate with other medications or supplements has not been studied). Always follow the instructions for use and the recommended dose. If you want to take several dietary supplements, you should be clear about the established upper limits for vitamins and minerals and the total daily intake. If you take multiple supplements daily, you should also consider the total daily amount of caffeine and fiber. If your body is more sensitive to fiber and you have bloating or similar symptoms, you should only increase the amount of fiber slowly.

Is it normal for me to experience gas, bloating and/or indigestion after starting the Feel Great program?

Every body reacts differently to certain diets. Some people are more sensitive to certain diets or dietary changes than others. Drastically increasing the amount of fiber can lead to side effects such as bloating, indigestion, and bloating. This is because gases are produced when the fiber is fermented by the bacteria in the lower gastrointestinal tract. These side effects often subside once your body and your intestinal flora get used to the new diet. To relieve these symptoms, you can take a lower dose (half a pack or a pack of Balance per day). If side effects such as bloating or indigestion do not subside, please discuss these symptoms with your doctor to determine whether the Feel Great program is right for you.

Eating too quickly and/or too hastily after a long period of fasting can also lead to digestive problems. Intermittent fasting experts recommend eating a snack about 30 minutes before your first meal, something with healthy fats or balance, after long periods of fasting (usually over 24 hours, but possibly also shorter periods). This is intended to "wake up" your digestive system and stimulate the release of digestive enzymes, as the digestive system can slow down after long periods of fasting.

What about diabetes and insulin resistance?

The Feel Great program is aimed at healthy individuals who want to support their metabolic fitness and weight management. Fiber has been shown to improve blood sugar control and aid in weight management. Research on Yerba Mate suggests positive effects on weight management. However, both Feel Great products cannot prevent, treat or cure any diseases and do not replace medications. If you have a medical condition, please speak to your doctor before taking a new supplement.

What is the average weight loss on the Feel Great program?

Feel Great is not a diet program, even though many participants lose weight. Weight loss varies greatly from person to person and depends on lifestyle, calorie intake, exercise and genetics. Some people only lose a few pounds, while others lose over 40 pounds. Some don't lose weight at all. In a recent study, participants (healthy adults without diagnosed chronic illnesses) using Feel Great lost an average of 1% of their body weight in 60 days. The goal of Feel Great is not only to support weight management, but also to promote a healthy metabolism and lifestyle.

Are snacks allowed?

You can eat and drink during your eating window and still follow the Feel Great program. However, weight loss and metabolic health depend heavily on your diet. Eating a lot of fat, sugar, and high-calorie foods during the eating window can slow or even negate weight loss and the metabolic effects of the Feel Great program. Choose low-processed, nutrient-dense foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, and lean proteins.

Can I exercise while fasting?

Healthy people can easily exercise while fasting. Our body stores energy in the form of fat and glycogen (glucose), which provide the necessary energy for exercise and other body functions even during fasting.

However, beginners often feel weaker in the first few weeks of intermittent fasting. This may be because the body must learn to access fat stores for energy (burning stored body fat for fuel) rather than the more readily available glucose stream that comes from constant eating. This is part of the process by which the body adapts to become more "metabolically flexible." After the body adjusts to fasting, most people can easily exercise while fasting.

To get more energy while exercising, you may also want to rethink or adjust your diet, meal times or sleeping habits. This also depends on the intensity, duration and type of training. Maybe you prepare for training differently. Unimate can contain mental energy and matcha energy increase physical energy. Both products are a good choice for anyone who needs an extra boost of energy before a workout.

Can I take Balance instead of a meal?

Of course, you can skip a meal and take Balance for the added fiber, but Balance is not a meal replacement. Additionally, strict calorie-restricted diets can be dangerous and are usually not sustainable. If you feel extremely hungry or tired while on the Feel Great program, you should increase your calorie intake during the designated eight-hour eating period. As a meal replacement you can use another product like Complete use.

Balance is primarily a dietary fiber supplement. You also benefit from it when taken without food (e.g. to improve intestinal health, regulate bowel movements, etc. - all of these benefits of increased fiber intake are well documented). But Balance's other ingredients, as well as its gel-forming properties, are why it should be taken before a meal.

Should I take two Balance packets before a heavy (i.e. high carb) meal?

Taking a double portion of Balance before a meal does not necessarily double the effect. A packet of Balance lowers the glucose effect of a carbohydrate-containing meal. Instead of taking multiple servings of Balance before occasional "heavy" meals, we recommend regularly taking one serving of Balance 15 minutes before your two main meals (the largest meals) for optimal results.

Can you mix Balance and Unimate?

If you want, you can mix Balance and Unimate. However, the products were not developed for this purpose and you will not necessarily achieve better results at Feel Great if you mix them. We recommend taking it according to the Feel Great program guidelines.

Can I drink coffee or tea while fasting?

Yes. Please note that adding sugar, cream, and other calorie-containing additives to coffee or tea means you are breaking your fast. Coffee and tea “black” or with calorie-free sweeteners are permitted during fasting.

I still have cravings. What now?

Try Unimate, water or other very low calorie drinks during your fasting period. Our bodies can store large amounts of energy in the form of glycogen and fat to power through our daily activities and more - don't forget that. However, your body may need to relearn how to access energy stored as fat because it is used to a steady supply of glucose due to constant eating. Give your body up to a month to get used to intermittent fasting and adjust so that your metabolism becomes more flexible.

Try to figure out where your craving for snacks comes from. If it's just a desire for unhealthy food and not hunger, try to ban these foods from your environment. There are also foods that make you feel full better and for longer. During your eating window, try to eat as many healthy, nutrient-dense, calorie-dense foods as possible and limit the amount of junk food. Experiment until you find the diet that works best for you.
