Unicity Feel Great System Balance and Unimate - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We have put together a list of the most frequently asked questions from Unicity Feel Great beginners. Whether you are just trying out the Feel Great system or have been using it for a while, this information is sure to be helpful for you!

Before you try something new, many questions naturally arise.

When can you see first results with Unicity Feel Great?

The best results are usually seen after 90 days, but many people see results sooner. How long it takes to see or feel positive results varies from person to person. Additionally, it can take up to a month for the body to adjust to a dietary change like intermittent fasting. The more consistently you follow the Feel Great program, the more likely you are to see positive results sooner. Sticking to a set schedule (regular meal times, bedtimes, etc.) also helps your body adapt better and faster to these changes.

Do I need a special nutrition plan with Feel Great?

There is no Feel Great meal plan. The beauty of Feel Great is that it can be adapted to different eating habits and lifestyles. Whatever your goals, you should choose a balanced diet with as many whole foods as possible. You should also make sure that you prioritize protein, limit carbohydrates and use fat as a source of energy. You can have a nutritionist create a meal plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

Can I use Feel Great without intermittent fasting?

The Feel Great program is designed to improve overall health and facilitate intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting has been shown to have many benefits for healthy weight management, insulin sensitivity, glucose and lipid levels, blood pressure, and general well-being. The less you stick to healthy eating habits, the less likely you are to reap these benefits.

If you've never tried intermittent fasting before, start with a 12-hour fast (dinner at 8 p.m. means breakfast at 8 a.m. the next day). Then work your way up to an even more effective 16 hours. Don't forget that Unimate can be used to jumpstart your morning and extend your fasting period. Give your body at least a month to get used to the changed eating habits.

Can I combine Feel Great with medications or dietary supplements?

Yes, you can take your medication as usual with Feel Great. However, be aware that Balance's viscous consistency can affect the absorption of some medications. We therefore recommend taking medications at least one hour before or after taking Balance. Talk to your doctor before taking Balance or Unimate in conjunction with your prescribed medications. Do not stop taking any prescribed medications without talking to your doctor.

You can take other supplements in combination with Feel Great products. (Please note that the combination of Balance and Unimate with other medications or supplements has not been studied). Always follow the directions for use and the recommended dosage. If you want to take several supplements, be aware of the set upper limits for vitamins and minerals and the total daily intake. If you take several supplements daily, you should also consider the total daily amount of caffeine and fiber. If your body is more sensitive to fiber and you experience bloating or similar symptoms, you should increase the amount of fiber slowly.

What to do if you have bloating, a feeling of fullness or digestive problems?

Every body reacts differently to certain diets. Some people are more sensitive to certain diets or dietary changes than others. A drastic increase in fiber can lead to side effects such as bloating, indigestion and bloating. This is because the bacteria in the lower gastrointestinal tract ferment the fiber, producing gas. These side effects often subside as your body and gut flora adjust to the new diet. To alleviate these symptoms, you can take a lower dose (half or one pack of Balance per day). If side effects such as bloating or indigestion do not subside, please discuss these symptoms with your doctor to determine if the Feel Great program is right for you.

Eating too quickly and/or too hastily after a long period of fasting can also lead to digestive problems. Experts in intermittent fasting recommend eating a small snack about 30 minutes before your first meal after a long period of fasting (usually over 24 hours, but possibly shorter periods). This is supposed to "wake up" your digestive system and stimulate the release of digestive enzymes, as the digestive system can slow down after long periods of fasting.

What about diabetes and insulin resistance?

The Feel Great program is aimed at healthy individuals who want to support their metabolic fitness and weight management. Fiber has been shown to improve blood sugar control and aid weight management. Research on Yerba Mate suggests positive effects on weight management. However, both Feel Great products cannot prevent, treat or cure any disease and are not a substitute for medication. If you have a medical condition, please speak to your doctor before taking a new dietary supplement.

How much weight can you lose with Feel Great?

Feel Great is not a diet program, although many participants do lose weight. Weight loss varies greatly from person to person and depends on lifestyle, calorie intake, exercise, and genetics. Some people lose just a few pounds, while others lose over 40 pounds. Some don't lose any weight at all. In a recent study, participants (healthy adults with no diagnosed chronic diseases) using Feel Great lost an average of 1% of their body weight in 60 days. The goal of Feel Great is not only to support weight management, but also to promote a healthy metabolism and healthy lifestyle.

Are snacks allowed on the Feel Great System?

You can eat and drink during your eating window and still follow the Feel Great program. However, weight loss and metabolic health are highly dependent on your diet. Eating a lot of fat, sugar, and high-calorie foods during the eating window can slow or even negate weight loss and the metabolic benefits of the Feel Great program. Choose minimally processed, nutrient-dense foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, and lean proteins.

Can you exercise while fasting?

Healthy people can exercise without any problems while fasting. Our bodies store energy in the form of fat and glycogen (glucose), which provide the necessary energy for exercise and other bodily functions even during fasting.

However, beginners often feel more sluggish during the first few weeks of intermittent fasting. This may be because the body has to learn to access fat stores for energy (burning stored body fat as fuel) rather than the more readily available stream of glucose that comes from constantly eating. This is part of the process of the body adapting to become more "metabolically flexible." After the body adjusts to fasting, most people can exercise while fasting without any problems.

To get more energy during exercise, you may also want to rethink or adjust your diet, meal times or sleeping habits. This also depends on the intensity, duration and type of training. You may also want to prepare for training differently. Unimate can increase mental energy and CHI OKA Match can increase physical energy. Both products are a good choice for anyone who needs an extra energy boost before training.

Is Unicity Balance a meal replacement?

Of course, you can skip a meal and take Balance for the extra fiber, but Balance is not a meal replacement. In addition, strict calorie-restricted diets can be dangerous and are usually not sustainable. If you feel extremely hungry or tired during the Feel Great program, you should increase your calorie intake during the allotted eight-hour eating period. As a meal replacement, you can use another product such as Complete use.

Balance is primarily a dietary fiber supplement. You can benefit from it without food (e.g. to improve gut health, regulate bowel movements, etc. - all of these benefits of increased fiber intake are well documented), but Balance's other ingredients, as well as its gelling properties, are the reason it should be taken before a meal.

Should you take two Balance packets before high-carbohydrate meals?

Taking twice the serving of Balance before a meal does not necessarily double the effect. One packet of Balance reduces the glucose effect of a carbohydrate-containing meal. Rather than taking multiple servings of Balance before occasional "heavy" meals, we recommend taking one serving of Balance regularly 15 minutes before your two main meals (the largest meals) for optimal results.

Can you mix Unicity Balance and Unimate?

If you want, you can mix Balance and Unimate. However, the products were not designed for this and you will not necessarily achieve better results with Feel Great if you mix them. We recommend taking them according to the instructions of the Feel Great program.

Can you drink coffee or tea while fasting?

Yes. Please note that adding sugar, cream and other calorie-containing additives to coffee or tea will break your fast. Coffee and tea "black" or with calorie-free sweeteners are allowed during the fast.

What to do if you have cravings while fasting?

Try Unimate, water or other very low calorie drinks during your fasting period. Our bodies can store large amounts of energy in the form of glycogen and fat to power our daily activities and more - remember that. However, your body may need to relearn how to access the energy stored as fat because it is used to a steady supply of glucose from constantly eating. Give your body up to a month to get used to intermittent fasting and adjust so your metabolism becomes more flexible.

Try to find out where your cravings for snacking come from. If it's just a craving for unhealthy food and not hunger, try to eliminate those foods from your environment. There are also foods that keep you fuller and fuller for longer. Try to eat as many healthy, nutrient-dense, high-calorie foods as possible during your eating window and limit the amount of junk food you eat. Experiment until you find the diet that works best for you.
